Who We Are

We value your privacy on the same level we value our own. We promise to protect your personal information. If you have any questions or need to reach us, contact us through our website: https://www.justgetrooted.com. You can read more about us here.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help with spam detection. After approval of your comment, any profile picture assigned to your profile displays to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, avoid images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Privacy Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site, you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These exist for your convenience so you don’t have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one (1) year. After that, you’ll need to save them again.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and gets discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two (2) days, and screen options cookies last for one (1) year. Selecting “Remember Me”, keeps your login for two (2) weeks. Upon logging out of your account, the login cookies get permanently removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie gets saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after one (1) day.

Embedded Content from Other Websites

In the event that we include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.), anything from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and maintain an active log-in to that website.

Sharing Your Data

We will NEVER share any of your personal information with anyone else. Any data gets retained solely for our spam protection practices and internal use. Companies who sell your information and profit without your knowledge create distrust, so we vow to never do that to you. We respect your privacy and value you as one of our loyal customers, and we’ll treat you as one of us. If you request a password reset, the reset email will contain your IP address.

How Long We Retain Your Data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata get retained indefinitely. This ensures we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users who register on our website (by making a purchase or leaving a comment on our blog), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username), but no one else who visits our site can view any of your personal details. Only website administrators can also see your information, but they cannot modify it.

What Privacy Rights You Have Over Your Data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also ask us to erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we must keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

The Movement of Your Privacy Data

An automated spam detection service may check visitor comments. Otherwise, your personal data remains protected.
