Don’t Hide the Light (L.I.G.H.T.)

“You are the light of the world. A city built on a hill cannot be hidden.” — Matthew 5:14. Don’t hide the light inside of you that needs to shine and help someone else find their way.

What if you took a candle and placed it in a closet then shut the door? Would it make any difference to the world outside that closet? Of course not. The light would be hidden.

Living in God’s Holy Truth Means Sharing His Light

God didn’t give you light to keep it to yourself. He gave it to you to share.

You are the light of the world. You carry God’s truth, love, and light wherever you go.

Living in God’s Holy Truth Means Don’t Hide the Light Under a Bushel

You are meant to shine. To share your story, your kindness, and your faith with others. Sometimes, it feels easier to hide. To be quiet. To avoid standing out.

God didn’t call you to blend in, though. He called you to shine.

The One who created you gave you unique gifts, experiences, talents, and a story to tell. Your story might resemble someone else’s, but it’s never exactly like anyone else. It also will speak to certain people differently than anyone else’s story.

Living in God’s Holy Truth Draws Others to Him

When you walk in God’s light, others will see it. Whether you realize it or not, people are watching. Like a moth to a flame, the people who need to hear what you have to share will be drawn to you.

What you say, how you act, and how you treat others. It’s all on display. Those actions speak much louder than any words you speak. Your level of kindness and your willingness to forgive will say a lot about you.

Let your life speak for itself. Let your actions point back to the One who shines brighter than the sun.

You don’t need to be perfect. You don’t need to be bold in every moment. But don’t hide. Don’t cover your light.

When you live in God’s truth, you reflect Him to the world around you.

Every time you share your light, someone else can find their way. Your courage can spark someone else’s. Your love can ignite a flame in someone else’s heart.

Don’t hide the light. Let it shine.

You were never meant to stay in the dark.
