About Rooted
How We Got Started
God has been “downloading” acronyms to our Chief Visionary, Lou, for more than 10 years. At first, he wasn’t really sure what to do with them. Then, he started writing them down and sharing them with friends and family.
One day, someone suggested, “Why not put these on t-shirts?” After a few brainstorming sessions, Rooted was born! And we’re not stopping at just shirts. The product line will only expand from here.
Each acronym and design (on a wide variety of products) is a reflection of God’s guidance and serves as a powerful tool to spark meaningful conversations about faith, hope, and love.

At Rooted, our team is a family—united by a shared vision of spreading faith through purpose-driven designs. Get to know the passionate people who bring our mission to life:
Lou
Chief Visionary
Lou is the creative mind behind Rooted, receiving the unique acronyms that inspire our designs. After years of jotting down ideas, he decided to share them with others through apparel.
Lou and his wife, Barb, have been married since 1972, lead a Greeters Ministry at their church, and enjoy spending time with their 4 children, 7 grandchildren, and a small dog named Ginger.
Barb
Chief Administrator
Barb has over 40 years of experience as a legal secretary and plays a key role in keeping things organized at Rooted. She works closely with Lou to ensure everything runs smoothly, bringing a steady and supportive presence to the team.
Tiffany
Director, Brand Marketing
Tiffany brings over 20 years of experience in writing and marketing to Rooted. She oversees product content, customer service, and design strategy, ensuring every detail reflects the brand’s mission of encouraging purposeful living.
When she’s not working or writing books, she enjoys life in Kentucky with her family, including her husband, two teenagers, three dogs, and three cats.
Brad
Director of Operations
Brad brings 15 years of professional experience in banking and operations, along with a passion for digital media. He focuses on making sure our processes are efficient and that every product meets our high standards.
Brad has lived in Richmond, VA, since 2011 and enjoys weightlifting, outdoor adventures, and helping others in his community.
