Teaching Contentment and Stewardship
In a world that often encourages us to seek more, the planting season teaches us the value of contentment. Farmers know that each year’s harvest may look different—some years are plentiful, while others yield less. The key is learning to be content and faithful stewards of what God has provided, no matter the size of the harvest. Whether in times of abundance or in seasons of scarcity, we know God’s provision is always exactly what we need. He provides out of His perfect wisdom and care. Our job is to plant the seeds and let Him grow the crop.

This principle is echoed in Philippians 4:12-13, where Paul says, “I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation… I can do all this through Him who gives me strength.” By living a life of contentment, we’re focusing not on the abundance of things, but on the abundance of G.R.A.C.E. (God’s Reward at Christ’s Expense) in every circumstance.
