The Joy of Labor and God’s Provision

The planting season is a time to sow and plant and anticipate the coming harvest, trusting that God will provide. That’s when we’ll celebrate the fruit of our labors. But more importantly, it’s a season to reflect on God’s provision that allows us to grow.
As Deuteronomy 8:17-18 reminds us, “You may say to yourself, ‘My power and the strength of my hands have produced this wealth for me.’ But remember God, the Lord of the heavens and the earth, for it is He who gives you the ability to produce wealth.”
It’s easy to get caught up in the busy routines of school, activities, and projects and forget that all our efforts would be in vain without God’s blessing.

Put Resources Of Value Into Developing Everyone
During planting and harvest, farmers work long and hard to sow the seeds that will allow them to bring in their crops when the time comes, but they also know every good gift comes from the Lord (James 1:17).
Planting season isn’t just for seeds—it’s a reminder to invest in people too. Just like a garden needs time, care, and good soil, so do the hearts and minds around us. Share wisdom. Offer support. Give time. These are seeds that grow into strong, steady lives.
When we put resources of value into developing others, we build something lasting. You never know how one kind word or simple act might bloom in someone else’s life.
As we enjoy the abundance this season will bring, let’s cultivate a heart of gratitude in our homes, thanking God for providing His strength daily, and for the blessings we often take for granted.
