“In the same way, let your light shine before others.” — Matthew 5:16a. If you don’t hold tight to the light and keep it close to you, it might shine somewhere else or not even be seen.

There’s a reason Jesus told us to let our light shine. L.I.G.H.T. does something. It changes a space. Even a tiny flame can light up a dark room. But only if it’s not hidden.

Imagine lighting a candle and then putting it in a closet. That wouldn’t make sense. Light is meant to be seen by others. And to be shared.

But life has a way of tempting us to hide. Maybe it’s fear of what others will think. Maybe it’s doubt. Maybe it’s just plain hard.

Still—God calls you to hold tight to the light.
